We offer experienced and client-focused coaching. We treat people with respect, compassion and kindness. We are passionate about and committed to constant development through continuous learning. The day we stop learning is the day we close our doors.

Why we do what we do
Happier, healthier local community. We need to deliver to this community. Deliver to people that want to workout in a larger group class setting, and deliver to those that want to workout in a semi-private setting, deliver to our remote clients. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment for everyone regardless of their background, beliefs or fitness level.

I was at the point in my wellness journey that I needed advice and expertise from a certified fitness instructor and Sherrie stepped up 100%. From tweaking my diet and finding the right exercises that fit my home gym and abilities I am stronger at 56 than I was in my 20’s. And we aren’t done yet!
We were unsure about going to the gym, but now we are more confident and stronger than ever, both mentally and physically! We especially enjoy getting to workout together and having fun as we do! Thank you to Sherrie for helping us attain our healthy and happy lifestyle and continuing to make us better people!
My journey for 2022 half way point with lots of goals for the next half! But with the support of Sherrie Hockin and coaches and members At Whitey’s your goals can be met. Thank you Whitey’s for everything the last few months: from the classes and nutrition training and mostly making me get on track when I fall off and think I’m too “busy” 😝! The gym has changed my life completely. I went from a sedentary lifestyle, yo-yo dieting and workaholic tendencies to a very active balanced lifestyle and a healthy relationship with food. The support and friendship from the coaches and the gym community makes going to the gym and working out so much fun. Instead of making excuses for not working out I started looking for ways to get at least 5 workouts a week in. Our holidays went from lazy beach holidays to active adventure travel. (tho I’m not opposed to a lazy beach day either lol) I’m usually the oldest person in our classes and it makes me feel amazing that I can keep up with people that are 10 or even 20 years younger than I am. I have stopped caring about what the scale says and instead love my body for what it can do. I can honestly say that at almost 62 I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. I have been attending Whiteys Fitness for over 4 years and I enjoy every workout I do there. I enjoy the atmosphere and friendly staff and gym members. The classes are fun and push you to your next level, and the workouts are adjustable to meet my personal needs and goals. The accountability inside and outside of this gym is an extra bonus to enjoy this place even more. I am grateful I’ve found a gym and community that values wellness, self-care, and health for life!
One of the best things I have done for both my mental and physical well-being in my 40’s, has been joining a morning group class. Gym-buddies have become friends, my coach my biggest supporter, and the incredible feeling of getting stronger, challenging myself a bit more and experiencing the benefits of functional fitness, something I wish I discovered way earlier in life.
Being part of my Whitey’s family has honestly been the best the medicine, and as a two times cancer warrior, this has never been truer in my life.
What are you waiting for?
I am 7 years older now from when I started working out at Whitey’s Body Shop. I feel so much better mentally and physically since the day I started, we have to stay fit to keep up with our grandchild!
I have been a member of the gym for approximately 8 years including being a member during COVID shut down with the online workouts.
I attend the gym multiple times a week.
The gym has helped me not only physically but mentally. It has helped boost my confidence and gain friendships I wouldn’t have made other wise.
What do I love about the gym.. it’s the people I get to workout with how you become a community that is there encouraging you not only in the gym but outside of it. I love that during class you get pushed outside of your comfort zone and get encouraged to lift heavier or do something you wouldn’t necessarily try.
I love that being a part of the staff you see people coming in and working out and you get to know them.
I squandered my health in my 20s, I lived on pain killers and blamed issues on a bad back in my 30s. I joined Whitey’s at age 39 and received coaching from Owner and head coach Sherrie Hockin. I finally figured it out, functional classes and proper nutrition in my 40s. I’m the healthiest I have ever been now in my 50s.
