Steptember
This challenge is open to anyone, anywhere!
Join the STEPtember Walking Challenge!
👟 There are so many benefits to walking, so we thought we’d make it a challenge. For the month of September we’re going to take advantage of the cooler weather and get outside to get your steps in.
⌚️ To keep track of steps, we will be using an app that can sync with your phone, Garmin, FitBit, etc. We’re trying to make it as EASY as possible to do this challenge so you don’t have to do any manual submitting of daily steps. Instructions on how to sync this app will be delivered after you sign up.
Lastly, this challenge is open to anyone, anywhere, since all you need to do is get out and walk.
Here’s how the registration fee is used:
1️⃣ $10 from each registration will go directly to the Uyaivato family. One of our young community members in Neepawa has had a change in health status and has been diagnosed with Cancer. Sammy and his family are going to have a long journey ahead of them while he receives chemotherapy and surgery in Winnipeg. Sammy is 17 years old. He is a great son, brother and friend. He works hard and is an amazing athlete. He is entering grade 12 at Neepawa High school. ❤️❤️❤️
2️⃣ A portion covers the software cost for seamless step tracking.
3️⃣ We’ve set aside some for fantastic prizes!
Mom & Me
September 11 – October 30 | 10 Spots Available
The transition into motherhood is an exciting time that comes with a lot of change and finding time for your health may feel impossible. Mommy and Me classes take the tried-and-true Functional Fitness prescription and apply it to moms working out with their babies.
This class is appropriate for all levels of athleticism and fitness, no prior experience necessary. It is a laid-back atmosphere where the needs of your baby come first. Every class will be different, and our coaches can tailor each exercise to the needs of parent and child.
Led by a Certified Personal Trainer and CrossFit Level 1 Coach, classes are open to expecting mothers-to-be or moms with babies 1 year old or younger.
Workouts include a mix of strength training, core and pelvic floor work, cardio, agility and flexibility.
Each hour-long class consists of a warm-up, workout and cool down. Mothers will have access to a quiet private area nearby to change or feed baby, however, parents should note that child care is not provided.
Whether you are currently pregnant, 6-weeks or 6 months postpartum, these classes offer an environment for both moms and babies to socialize while getting active and moving together!
